Just watched the video. If i were the driver, I would be furious. When I pay $1mil+ for a car, I would expect the launch control to work the first time.

I'm saying I think the Veyron is dogshit. It's turned into a joke showpiece for the rich and classless to parade around like it's some sort of life achievement award. It's heavy as hell, ugly as fvck, and prohibitively expensive. A properly set up FI 911, GTR, Vette, Viper, etc. will hand this turd it's ass for literally 1/10th of the cost and it doesn't look like an asshole, cost $1MM+, and weigh more than my house.

So, in all honesty (assuming I couldn't just take the Veyron and sell it) I would absolutely rather have a modded GT2RS, ZR1, or similar. And even if I had unlimited money to be spent on cars, the Veyron would not be anywhere near the list.

Hell, I could plug 4 turbos on an F150 and get the damn thing to 1000bph.

ya but it's so much more than the 1000hp......the hp figures never impressed me. hell, I've seen Supras and Vipers with close to those figures. But those cars probably fall apart after a few runs

you guys remind of me when my cousin got his E55 and a buddy of mine said, "$85k for a car? Give me $15k to put in an Evo and I'd spank him!" We all looked at him and said, so? you'll still be driving an Evo

 

That comparison probably holds true for most of Pete's list, but a GT2RS is hardly comparable to an Evo.

 

SW made close to 50 passes in the mile in his 1500hp Supra before the 1st motor let go and that was the first failure. That car would make Veyrons look like a Mini Vooper.

 

why bring the RS into this...
