When will i can actually watch an actual car racing? Haha, maybe next year. I believe that intensity of the race is far greater beyond the TV screen.

Are those race# connected to the chassisnumber of those cars?

I was lucky enough to see chassis# 43 and 50 at different car shows. Really nice cars although they seem to be not so easy to drive.

Unfortunately the chassis numbers and race numbers don't coincide. In the case of my car (7) they actually do, but purely a coincidence. The cars really needed a bit more development time before being used on the track (first gen racing cars usually do) but the mods are well known now and mainly aero related. As a road car, handling is fine though like every car of this type, completely dependent on having a good set-up.

Further to your question on the handling of the car, there is certainly a 'legend' that the car does not handle well.

However, the reality is of course quite different from the hype. The chassis is nicely set up (it's the same chassis that won Le Mans twice for Jaguar!), but needs an aero package to be competitive (the road cars obviously don't have one). The Nissan R390 was developed from the XJR15 (see picture below) and also did very well at Le Mans. Note the similarity between this and Bryan Wingfield's car when he raced it (competitively) in historic group C. In summary, the XJR15 is that rare thing - a fully road-legal Group C racing car - and in the hands of the right engineer, handles perfectly on road or track.
