New World Records for Koenigsegg

Honestly, it pains me to see these cars constantly being compared to Paganis. Yes, both produce impressive numbers and yes both are sinfully expensive. But to me that's where the similarities end.
When it comes to craftsmanship, passion and design, Pagani are second to none. To me a first gen. Zonda looks less dated than any new Koenigsegg. I mean, take a glance at this thing's interior and then look at the Zonda/Huayra's interior. Day and night if you ask me. Even when Pagani was a virtually unknown company, the Zonda was already being talked about. It has proven to be a timeless design.
Horacio Pagani's passion is undeniable. The man actually designed himself the car that made his company world-famous, instead of just buying the design like Koenigsegg did. And this sort of passion really shows on the finished product.
The Agera's design is nothing more than a recycled CC8S/CCR/CCX. It was kinda cool when it came out but now it just looks dated. I honestly don't see the appeal. Any Zonda or even the Huayra (say what you want about the car, in person it IS a sight to behold) has so much more character and passion poured into it.
Let me just point out this is simply how I feel and that anyone is more than welcome to disagree. I simply felt the need to rant a bit.

The Italian Junkyard: 20.1 Sweden Ain’t That Cold: Christian Von Koenigsegg gives us a quick interview on how he made his dream come true
The Italian Junkyard: 20.2 Theory of Evolution: the interview with Christian Von Koenigsegg goes on
And I don't know why your name keeps cropping up in every Koenigsegg I read, spawning negative gossip and over the top Pagani love, but it's
and enough to make me register and respond after years of reading. To suggest that someone - making little or no money in a business that swallows most before the first car has left the factory - would somehow lack passion is not only highly unfair but also plain rude. Please educate yourself before making a bigger fool of yourself than you already have. Megafactories: Swedish Super Car Koenigsegg 1/3 HD - YouTube

Christian buying his design is simply not true.

Still, how I feel regarding these cars remains unchanged. I look at them and I feel nothing. You obviously do and I respect that so please try to do likewise.

No probs. Just try to keep it fair, is what I'm saying. We owe some respect to the people who undertake these crazy projects with limited funds, and passion as the driving factor. Both Pagani and Koenigsegg does not have the luxury of, say Bugatti, where the cost is covered in PR being a flagship of VW. Merely the idea that these Davids are able to do what they do is impressive enough.
I love Pagani so I can see where it's coming from. The thing is, these two use very different design languages and also business models. In terms of show stopping design and racing pedigree it's Pagani for sure. In terms of innovation and visceral impact the nod goes to Koenigsegg. One does not necessarily have to cancel the other but they're both great and complete each other.
