From Chris Harris's twitter feed:
LFA Nurburgring pack just did 7.14 lap of the Ring. That's mighty fast.
Akira Iida was the man who did the LFA's 7.14. Great time.
If this is true, then bye bye Porsche 911 GT2 RS (7:18), Dodge Viper ACR (7:22.1), and Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 (7:19.63).

I'm a big fan of the LFA and Chris Harris. I'd love a GT2 RS, but I'd also venture that if one could afford an LFA, they'd probably be able to afford the RS as well. I'd also venture that they've probably got a Ferrari or two, etc. The point is, Lexus didn't make some "marketing exercise", they've actually done some serious engineering.

Notice that in the vid of the hotlap there's two persons in the car, so that means more weight.
Vid of rolling chassis also.
