While the price may be a little high, I'm not surprised at all that it is more expensive to have this option.
The weave throughout the car at every panel has to align perfectly, while a painted Super Sport doesn't need this and saves time & money. Imperfections can always be prepped and painted over, while a tinted/clearcoated exterior needs absolute perfection from the start. Tinting (or candying) over the carbon is no easy task either, if that process is screwed up (when done by humans, not sure if Bugatti paints their cars with people or machines) then that particular panel is ruined.

it's nice to see that.. even if you are a private bugatti pilot, you still wear a big smile when you put the foot down..
unfortunatly, i don't like the color, so i won't buy one... but it's a cool car
