Farewell Spyker Cars !

Everyone loves them, but no one buys them. Wonder how many they sold in the US over the last couple years.
Rode in the coupe (Laviolette? Laturbie? whatever its name could've been), and it definitely did not feel as finished and refined as a CGT. Mind you, it's half the price ... shitty comparisons FTW.

From Motor Authority:
"CPP Global Holdings is owned by Vladimir Antonov, a Russian banker and investor, who already held 29.9 percent of Spyker through Bankas Snoras, a bank in which he holds the majority stake. You may remember from the original sale of Saab to Spyker that it was Antonov's interest in the company that held up proceedings for a short time, as Swedish and U.S. regulatory agencies investigated potential ties to organized crime on Antonov's part. No evidence of criminal activity was found."
In April 2010, the Saabs United Historic Rally Team announced that Vladimir Antonov had accepted an invitation to drive their number two car for the 2010 Midnight Sun Rally in Sweden.[21] In an interview with Swedish publication, Jnytt, Antonov stated that his love for Saab started when he bought his first car, a Saab 9000, in 1994. Antonov participated in the race driving a 1978 replica of a specially built Saab 99.[22]

Honestly? I've never really been a fan.
It's as if Spyker is a result of two engineers who hate eachother - one wants it to be flamboyant and the other wants it to be classy and they can never agree on anything. And the marketing plan seems to be targeted at Dutch lottery winners. The result is a car that isn't particularly quick, doesn't look all that good and -most importantly- doesn't sell.

Also, I believe my younger brothers pet mouse named 'Gurra' has more business-sense than Victor Muller.

I love Spyker. The exterior design is awesome. Everyone tries to copy airplane design and Spyker actually achieved this the best.
The interior is by far the best looking I have ever seen. The leather, dash, switches, shifter, etc. All are stunning.
