Lotec C1000

Did a search in case it was posted about anywhere on here in the past.

A few years back I discovered this car on a random search of the web, someone had posted pics of it whilst it was in bits in a workshop in (one of N/S) Carolina, USA.

1000bhp (allegedly), one off, built in 1995 for a sheikh in the UAE who wanted the worlds fastest car.

Seems it hasn't left that part of the USA and is up for sale again.

1995 Lotec C1000 - LAMBORGHINI CAROLINAS GREENSBORO, NC

Such a cool looking thing. I'm a sucker for obscure late 80's/early 90's supercars.

Yeah it went through Barrett-Jackson and sold for less than $200k around 06/07 IIRC, then popped up at a dealer in Carolina in 2008. It was in pieces as the clutch needed replacing.

Here's a link to the story on Jalopnik.

268 MPH Mercedes Lotec C1000 Found Hiding In North Carolina Dealership

And the original story (link pinched from the Jalopnik article) on another forum.

http://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=579690

Now it's popped up at this Lamborghini dealer for sale.

One of the most ridiculous cars ever built, imo. I love it.
