Was it known that the SS were the last of the current or the veyron at all? I thought the Veyron production will be replaced by the galibier production.

No. I was wrong. I thought VW claimed that the Galibier will be the Veyron replacement.

I beg to differ. The Veyron is a limited production car that the SS was marketed to be the last of the breed so they would move over to a sedan, the statement was sad but had some valid points if you ask me, but that is what they said.

Believe me I get what you say is like the buyer of a Pagani Cinque been pissed that there is a new Pagani. But really you would expect that Pagani the same as Lambo would make another car. Bugatti is a car that was more than a production car, it was more of a statement of peak engineering ingenuity rather than a profitable equation. Yes the tires cost a lot, but since they are extreamly low production got to think about the cost and how often really the owners will require a tire change.

Hey don't get me wrong I am a petrol head as any other here but, if a really deep down to the heart enthusiast that bought the SS as a collectors item should be pissed because now the first example is now actually worth more as a historic piece rather than a what has come to be, and I feel sorry to this, a faux of an experiment that the SS really is, a test bed for the next gen. That is why a 250 GTO, or if we go down a bit a F40 will forever be be more rich in legacy and history rather than a F50 or Enzo.

Sorry for the rant, and maybe I might be exaggerating a bit but I deeply hate when a company overvalues something and then it turns out not to be that.

I am an investor what can I say...........

You mention the f40 how many of the original owners who were told that production would be limited to 399 are still mad that 1300 were actually made? Not many i guess. I think a lighter better handling Veyron replacement will fit in Right beside the galibier. It will be interesting to see if it keeps the Veyron name

Well you got a good point there, but for Ferrari an already established ongoing company the owners should have known that a preprocessor would come up in the future and that is the point I was going for, how many variants the veyron already has, Sang noir, grand sport etc.....

Anyways I don't want to beat on a dead horse..... but I believe that we both can agree on something, the SS was wrongfully marketed ( as other cars are .. true ) but the Veyron... at least as a Veyron it feels like a cheap blow.

I prefer a new Veyron over the Galiber, even thou I get the point of the Galiber and believe that is the most profitable path for Bugatti, and now more considering it has been reported the car will share its chassis with the Audi A9.

But yes I believe that they can pull off the 2 model line up.

Bugatti will stick with two models line-up in future - über-luxury 4-door and a hypercar. Veyron replacement is coming in at earlier in 2013, so little worries here for current Veyron owners, they all knew that Supersport is the last of the line. Its like saying that Zonda owners will be disappointed in Pagani because of C9 launch of Enzo owners because of F70 launch and so on. Veyron was the top hypercar of past decade, its successor will do it again in this decade.

And both cars will be bespoke, all rumors about Audi chassis, Panamera chassis are just cheap speculations.

270mph, well that could be fast enough LOL

I don't have the nutsack for that speed. I'll post that on a public forum.

Has annyone else heard that that SSC car is trying for 300mph. When does it end would be my question.

I've never understood the straightline speed type of cars but holy shiete if you can't respect a car whether you like the looks or not that does 270mph you can't respect any vehicle in the world. That's just an amazing speed on the ground.
