Pagani C9 to be called Huayra

It is a known fact that the Pagani Zonda successor is around the corner. The Pagani C9 test mule has been spotted numerous times and the official debut is set for March at the Geneva Auto Salon.

According to the Italian website Al Volante, the name Huayra has been officially registrated. The nearly unpronounceable name is linked to the company’s tradition of branding its products after famous winds of the world. Huayra is the word for wind from the ancient South American language of Quechua.

The Pagani Huayra will pack a 6.0 liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, producing around 700bhp and more than 730lb-ft of torque. The gear changes will be performed by a seven-speed sequential set-up, sourced from British transmission specialist X-trac.

On the subject of design it will have gull-wing doors, special air brakes at the back and be made from the ultra-expensive, ultra-lightweight carbon-titanium material. A kerb weight at around 1230kg is rumoured.

I checked the name on OHIM's database and it is in face registered by Horacio Pagani.

Anyone want to break down the pronunciation?

Is it "hue-air-a"?

Not a bad name, Deusventi sounds more exotic or "expensive"

Hey guys, new member here.
So just got to the sec video from Pagani, the interior sounds like awsomeness!!
After all, what Horacio was holding in the hand in the first video its not a model, but aparently its the key! I know that the interior will have stunning features with that level of detail that Pagani got us used to. Zonda R steering wheel for this new car
Regarding the name nothing is official but i kinda like it.
It speels hu-ayra
