Pagani C9 will use bespoke AMG engine
#1
Official press release made by Pagani and AMG:
The engine of the Pagani C9 is not a derivative of the AMG V12 engine developed for the SL65 Black Series, nor is the AMG V12 engine in the SL65 Black Series derived from the engine AMG is currently developing for the Pagani C9.The cars are very different in their character and conception and the engine will reflect this in its technical characteristics and behavior. The engine in the Pagani C9 has been developed specifically for that application by Mercedes-AMG GmbH.
I have recieved this in the morning, but in any case here is additional link:

It will be TT V12. I don't believe it will be absolutely new engine developed from clean sheet of paper. It will 6.0 V12 TT, but it will be so significantly reworked that it will be called a bespoke engine. Thats how I think, but may be they will exceed my expectation, who knows.

I'm not going too crazy about this info. Of course Mr Pagani will try everything he can to convince potential customers that this engine is not an old, lowrevving, turbolagging useless piece of very heavy junk. I'm sceptic untill I read an impartial review that proves me otherwise.
