Those A/D/S plates in the doors bring back a lot of memories!

Nice shots - thanks for sharing.

Ugh.

A painful reminder that, while everything valuable is rare, not everything rare is valuable.

moneypit is an unknown quantity at this point
These cars have always represented one mans dream and embodied every attribute of a supercar with american muscle heritage. Way ahead of their time.

Take a look at any other car conceived in the 1970's and this one is still relevant in concept. The shape is timeless (the interior is not).

This is a very interesting car. I remember racing it on Grand Tourismo 2 and was blown away by the design. It even made a Diablo look like a Volkswagen
Strange coincident that I today found an article about the Vector W8 Twinturbo on Sportauto.de. It was built in 19 units. had 634 hp and 854 NM. I also had no Idea the W stands for "Wiegert", the German who migrated to the US and later created this monster.

Darth Vader would have loved this car!

Wow, that W8TT has me falling head-over-heels in love all over again! Such a badass car! I love the wicked looking bodywork and while the screens on the dash are dated, I think they're pretty cool, especially when you consider what year this car was built and how futuristic that was at the time.

That he was able to build this car, in such small numbers, and make it fully EPA/DOT compliant was nothing short of a miracle. It was the highest output car available in the world at the time. Construction techniques were very advanced; the whole body was hand laid in one piece of carbon kevlar. I remember even Car and Driver was impressed with the quality of build, the even shutgaps. It was so expensive because he was using aerospace parts throughout, even down to the fasteners.

Despite the crazy story behind it, these cars really are special. Too bad about that automatic transmission though.
