Aston Martin One-77 at Nürburgring

demand and offer....
there are a lot of people willing to pay that kind of money for the Über Aston
I think it looks absolutely awesome!
And at this price level it`s not about rational thinking like I could have a GTO,a GT2RS and whatever instead,....it`s just about the exclusiveness and if I do want it or not
I`d love to see a track orientated lightweight transaxle Aston with a V8 which is actually somehow affordable for non billionaires

how many million pound cars already out there?
how many get sold a year?
how many car loving billo's are willing to spend this on a car?
it seems a few are making them but not many are actually getting sold??

he also said that there is a market for cars like that.
Mostly the east and far east
how many of them are around?
Look at London City at summertime
´Singapore became a good market as well!
but let`s wait and see what happens.

Ralph Lauren bought two, one to drive and one to have in his living room I think.

Not convinced by this, It took Bugatti 2 years to sell that many Veyrons.
There is alot of hype about the few people that buy these cars (or 2 of them) but the fact is only a very few are sold. How many £m cars are sold a year? Will that figure double when the 77 comes out? Not sure. Also feel this is the least special of all the £m cars and probably will be the biggest dropper.

Personally I'm not convinced with the way this thing looks, to my eye they exaggerated the distinctive Aston design traits of the last ~6 years. I like the rear but the side view proportions seem slightly off and the front with its gaping fish mouth and odd vertical air intakes is rubbish.
But most importantly; considering the price tag it really should have bespoke headlights and interior parts/mirrors that don't come straight from the Volvo, err Geely, parts bin.
Now if Aston could bring the price down (I know they can't given the suspension tech and underlying architecture) to $300-$400k and call it the new Vanquish, then they'd be on to something.
For 1.4 mil I'll take a DBS for the weekdays and a one off Zonda for the weekend thanks very much.
