S. Africa - car costed over 2.4 mill USD to bring in here.

 

Ouch, that hurts to see And it's an CCXR as well.. But it does look like the engine compartment isn't too damaged and maybe the monocoque did survive? Do you know if they're gonna send it back to Sweden for some "buffing out"?

I suppose CMS made it to SA.

 

I don't know the exact details, but the insurance company wrote it off. I think somebody bought the wreck, but Koenigsegg want 1.12 million USD to repair as the car needs to go back to Sweden. This is definitely not going to happen.

I know of 2 panel shops that have assessed the car, they both were not comfortable to work on carbon fibre. This is Africa after all.

I think the 3rd shop will try fix it with locally made parts

 

Now if you take that engine, and put it into an e30...
