Not to steal the OP's thunder. But I thought I would chip in with a few pics.

I took these pics at the LA Autoshow in 2006. There, they had an official description of the car that said the Exelero was a one-off created to test tire compounds.

Many people claim that there are several - maybe up to 7 - of these around. But the official word from Mercedes is that there is only one.

Who knows.

Either way, it is one of the rarest spots ever. Great post!
