They have more cars planned to fill out the range. Expect something that competes with the 911 Turbo on the heels of this one in a year or two, and then after than another supercar to do justice to the legacy of the McLaren F1 (we hope).

Yes, they have done a great job wasting my time and making me really lust after this car. The emphasis on everyday practicality reminds me of the F1 - e.g. the side luggage compartments on the F1. I don't think it's unreasonable - or a detriment to the "supercar experience" in the 21st century - to expect a $200,000+ car that comes a few rungs above a 911 GT3 or Turbo to have true daily drivability and reliability.

If the powertrain provides the thrills of the 458 then this car will be an absolute winner.

Looking forward to the "affordable" model, as well.
