Somebody please explain to me why the running cost of this car should be so much higher than that of an Enzo or the Big Mac?

special tires and wheeels that can withstand the heat and I guess centrifugal forces generated at these speeds ...

But the Big Mac F1 since to be doing fine at 240MPH without having to do all that.

And dare I say, I would take that over the Veyron?

I would much rather have an F1 than Veyron. I know the costs of owning an F1 is pretty high too, but I would be much more willing to pay those than that of a Veyron.

I would bet that the F1 has similar running costs. The tires are a special compound (although not quite as pricey as the Veyron's) and the wheels are specially designed from magnesium for the Macca, but I haven't heard anything about needing to change them out after 10K miles or anything like that.

that`s like changing wheels on a 120k car for 5k

which does not sound that absurd anymore

Meh, never been a fan.

Is there anyone who would honestly choose a Veyron over a black Enzo?

Yes.

Over a CGT or F50 or Zonda? Nope.
