Thanks speedlimit!
It's also one of my all time favorite video, and the f40 by far my all time favorite car!

Annouce:

The last and the first

The f40 was the last car ever built when enzo ferrari was still living, and though his oldnesshe has got really involved in the devloppement of the car.
The 959 was the car of the revival for porsche: the one whom in the 80's foreshadow porsche's future.
Both are coming from the same project based on the legendary B group ( The crazyiest rallye car class ever) however, The b group was forbiden before they were finnaly produced. They would been classed into a new category : supercars!
To present them, sport auto has chosen an experienced pilot, whos actually the owner of the 959, Jean-Pierre Riquelme : 3 times french dirt rallye champion, winner of the world cup on ice 2001, 2 times pikes peak champion.
He's skilled enough to expressed the feeling of those car on the legendary turini special.

F40:

We're doing a little ride with the f40 on the turini pass
The car doesn't look like it's the one for this road, it's a race car, the gears are too long but it turns flat.
The stearing is very light
I'm enjoying, but you have to go easy with the accelerator because it's on/off, if you accelerate in 1st gear you can spin, it splits a little bit
You must be hard on the brake be cause there no driving aids. Be hard on the brake so, but you've got a good feeling with the pedal.
The song is amazing.
The first goes on very well (not sure about this translation), you must be carrefull with the ride height, always the same problem...
You must pull the first hard to get some more torque, it's good, very very good!
The clutch is also a little bit hard, but at least you are sure that gears are well locked
I'm enjoying, the car got a very good handling, waht a sound!

959:

Turini pass with the porsche 959, it's special because the car is powerfull and hard to use on twisty roads. This cars is a concentrade of porsche in the 80s with ajustable suspension in height and hardness.
Unfortunately, that make the car is too soft
When the second turbo start to work from 4500 tr/min you must fermly hold the steer because there's a huge licl in the ass and the car seems to understeer.
It's a 6 speed gearbow, the first production car with a 6 speed gear box standart.
The grip is interressant because it's a 4Wd
The car stucks at the road with a big tendancy to understeer, before the back spin the road must be soapy
With the 6 speed gearbos the layering is better than the ferrari wich the gear were too long, with the porsche you can use the 3rd
At he start you are really propel with the 4wd, and even agaisnt a modern porsche , this one has its word to say, of course the suspension and the brake are a little old...

End:

Starting from the same desire, ferrari and porsche had ended with two different cars: While the porsche was a technologic concentrade, te ferrari was a competion like car.
The f40 is really demanding and forgives nothing to the driver, this nasty character makes it an exciting car. At the contrary more than 2O years after production, the prosche has still fascinating performance and a modern easy of use

Sorry if the langage quality isn't perfect, don't be affraid of giving me advice!

1) the rattling noises could be anything cause that car has 0 sound insulation
2) there are F40s in other colors, special customers got them done like the sultan of Brunei. If you google it you should be able to find some. I think someone on supercars.net put together a lengthy library of his collection.
