The Official Bugatti Veyron Picture Thread

That does seem odd behavior on his part. Maybe he just likes saying that he took these images. Well, thanks for pointing that out, Erik. I had no idea that it was fake but if I ever see his photos I'll know otherwise.

Maybe he did shoot both car and landscape and is just tinkering around by superimposing different cars onto different settings and vice versa? Not uncommon to see automotive photographers frequently doing this.

The car shots are definitely not his. He was not in Monterey to shoot the blue/white Vitesse - that image came from another photographer. The original shots he used of the 670SV and CCX have been located also, and they are not his photographs either.
The only one of the suspected images that is probably his is the Veyron Sang Noir which he claims to have taken at or near the Nurburgring, however, it appears the image was actually taken at Auto Rai 2011 in the Netherlands which is an event he did attend. Note the similarities between his "Nurburgring" photo and another one taken at Auto Rai:

The problem is really less about the altered photos and more about the fact that Stefan Poppelaars is stealing other peoples images and lying about it. When called on it he continues to lie or blocks/deletes the comments if he has the power to do so. I think most will agree that the community of car enthusiasts and automotive photographers can do without that sort of behavior.
