Massive crash - EB110 SS racing in Moscow

During the second supercar parade, some Russian playboy with a supermodel girlfriend managed to prang his ultra-rare Bugatti EB110 into one of the crash barriers. The programme was delayed by 45-minutes as the marshals had to clear all the oil and shattered carbon fiber from the track. Only 139 of these cars were ever made, so this little incident really hurt.

I'd like to neg rep him into oblivion.

edit: I mean, damn, I would definitely run my supercars hard (if I owned any) but I would be sure I'm skilled enough to not wreck such a limited exotic. Accidents are just that I guess.

With that many cars on track going that quick, I was amazed by the lack of helmets. When you see the car spinning with the door open the guy is just sitting there in jeans and t-shirt.

Some pics I had of the car from back in 2005.

quiet frankly, unless you are racing professionally you do not see helmets outside the US. Maybe here and there, certain tracks in certain countries. You don't need anything on the Nordschleife or the Autobahn where a car with a trailer may pull out in front of you without looking doing - 150 less then you do

Yeah - I just read a similar comment in another place where this incident is being discussed. That's quite surprising - silly if you ask me, like not wearing your seatbelt for a trip down the road to the market.

Such a sad sight... That car just self-destructed once it hit the barrier.

Notice in the last video that the driver throws his hands up in the air as if it wasn't his fault, forgetting to help his passenger out of the vehicle.

*sigh*
