Koenigsegg Buys Saab...

It was all over the Swedish news yesterday. And I guess enough news services here in the states heard about it that Koenigsegg.com was overrun with media and was bradykinetic for a while. I fielded a few phone calls from a few media outlets who were curious about the company. Should be interesting to see what happens with Saab now that it's in the hands of Christian von Koenigsegg.

Speculation...?

One dead-beat company buys another, neither of which have made a dime for decades. I'm sure it will be awesome.

LMAO

Most M&As destroy shareholder value anyway so...

I am personally not a fan of either brand

Well, that's the last thing I expected to hear. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. Personally, I love the Koenigsegg. I wonder, if it does well, what future saabs will look like.

Nice to have it in Swedish hands again, but damn GM fugged that company up beyond repair. I doubt they or Saturn will ever make a dime. Saturn never HAS made a dime, I'm not sure what Penske thinks he's going to do to change that.

Twin-supercharged 800+ bhp V8 in a Saab wagon? Sounds like fun to me!

From what I read they are not buying it alone, they are doing it with a Norwegian company that will supply the capital, K'segg is supposed to bring the thinking/logistics/development to the table.
