According to a report by CarsUK.net, Koenigsegg will be limiting the already limited production versions of the CCXR and CCX Edition models due to the floundering economy. Although the report doesn't explicitly say that demand has plummeted, we can only imagine that the even wealthiest one-percenters are rethinking their high-dollar expenditures. The CCXR Edition will be limited to only four examples, while a scant two CCX Editions will be produced. While it might be the economy, with the unveiling of the Quant at the Geneva Motor Show, Christian Von Koenigsegg might be looking to shift the automaker's efforts towards their next model before the CCXs begin growing long in the tooth.

 

How many CCXR Editions were Koenigsegg going to make originally? I thought it was only going to be 5 examples anyway.

If I pick the correct 7 numbers on any given Saturday, a CCXR will be one of my first purchases (along with a Zonda R).

I wonder if Pagani is stealing any of K-egg's business?

 

Got really confused by built EDITION Koenigsegg numbers. There were one spotted in Spain, one RHD for sale in London, there was car in South Africa, two CCXR EDITION are already for sale, one in Norway (Vehicles | Autostrada Sport AS) and one for sale in Germany, at famous Auto Salon Singen (Koenigsegg CCXR Edition Koenigsegg CCXR Special Edition Auto Salon Singen images). Totally Koenigsegg sold 20 all model range cars in year 2008. Koeningsegg planned to sell 14 CCX EDITION cars and 6 CCXR EDITION cars previously.
