The thing is, for a kit car, it really can be nicely done and it's one of the sleekest designs out there! I have no idea what they're saying in the video posted above by ss7 but this might be the same Lexus V8TT-powered Ultima that is/was owned by a member that is either on here or 6speed.

It does have Lexus TT in it, was his car red? And its one nice setup.

Same engine on other Ultima

Methinks it's the same car, just a different paint job. That's an awesome picture, by the way.

Well these are actually two different Ultimas with the similar set up, Lexus V8 TT. They were both built in Sweden, one red and one silver.

Here is a sweet vid of the one in silver, 0 - 340 km/h in 19 seconds!!

YouTube - Ultima GTR Twin Turbo goes from 0-340 km/h in 19 seconds.

There is no doubt that the Ultima GTR is an awesome machine. The 720 hp version of the Ultima GTR held the unofficial record for a street legal car on the Top Gear track at 1:12.6 To put that in perspective, the Caparo T1 did 1:10.something and the Gumpert Apollo 800 hp version did 1:17.1 the Aston Martin BB9R race car did a 1:08.

However, the Ultima GTR is basically about a $90k car with a "reasonable" 500+ hp crate motor installed. Add another $20 or $30k for a 700 hp motor/tranny combo and you get to $120k. I am having a hard time getting my head around what parts of the car make up the extra $2.9 million
