Being the betting man that I am, I would be willing to wager a fair sum that he is more real than our little friend in AZ

 

I really am interested in seeing this car. I've liked it from day 1.

 

When cars like this come out you don't always get to choose color, options, etc. You just put down a deposit, wait, and hope that you get one sooner than later. If he doesn't like it he can pass but I doubt they are getting more than one.

I'm being optimistic of course and hope you are the real deal.

 

No because I simply told the owner that I wanted this car a while back and so he saved the only one that they are getting, for me. But because the car wasn't so easy to find at first because only few dealerships are getting them, I told him that I would take any color as long as you can save one for me. That color was just the one that he told me he was going to try and get which hopefully he did. I haven't talked to him in a while but I'm going to have to call him this weekend to make sure everything is still going as planned.

Yes, I apologize for not replying the pm. I was in the middle of doing something and was going to right after but completely forgot. I will let you know if I will be here next week because I had plans to go out of town for a little while but I was just waiting for the car to come in. I read someone saying on another form that they have been pushed back a day to tuesday but I haven't heard anything about it so I don't know if its true or not. Things are a bit crazy and no one knows for sure when they are coming in because they kept having to push the date back but the official release date is supposed to be monday since they have already finished all the modifications that they needed to do so there's no reason to push back any more. I will let you know as soon as I find out for a fact.

 

Exactly. And yes, my dealership is only getting one so I don't care what color is comes in as long as I'm guaranteed to get one. However, I'm pretty sure it's going to be the color he said he would try to order for me. Similar deal with my CLK because I got it right when they came out. At the time, he only had one in stock, which was a silver one so I just took it because that was the color I wanted anyways. Point is, they can't always get the color that the customer wants if it's a limited edition car, especially the SL since only 150 are here in the US. Here are a few pics of my CLK though. I took these when it was brand new but the car is currently modified by RENNtech and has a black trim to it (HRE rims, windows, emblems, etc). The car is currently getting fixed at my dealership after an accident more than a few months ago. It took forever because they had to order new parts from Germany, but are finally almost finished with it. I will put up pics when I get it back.

 

Ah yes, the infamous European Touch Gumpert. I wonder if Reza is still driving it. The car is a monster and is going for approximately double what you estimated (in price). I wish I could fit in one.
