Spyker Introduces Spyker C8 Laviolette LM85
#12
I quite enjoyed it - but there were a couple things that I would have rather changed.
First of all! I would the the 4-spoke ship look-a-like steering wheel. The car's interior build quality was very good, but the damn windows rattle like mad due to the minimal support as you can see in the pics. The frameless windscreen idea, is fantastic very different and the nicely concept for a convertible I've driven yet.
The brakes are a bit mushy, you really need to slam it in the ground to get the car to stop. They said it was designed like that, but I don't want to feel like I'm almost rear ending someone everytime when I stop.
The handbrake is on the passenger side's footwell. Make's it very difficult to use when trying to pull away on an incline.
Power is so-so, I think on par with my 997 C2S, but the sound is fantastic! Sound's like a WWII plane!
The gearbox is very smooth and the exposed look is also very different!
The traction is very good though, the car can really take turns! Feels very similar to my Exige.
I don't know what else I've left out, but here are some more pics.
The ignition is a great, idea - you have to lift the red tab and then flick a switch (like a plane!) then you hit the start button.

The key! Keyless-go obviously.

On the tips of the exhaust - Something in latin meaning (can't remember exactly), "Dare venture in the path less traveled" or was it "something something... no road unconquered" I may be way off on both, but something like that!

The "door handles" are behind the side mirrors. It's that button you see on the inner side. Or you could press the buttons on the car's keys to open the doors from a range - which is quite flashy haha.
