I disagree. Both the Poland game and Russia game hade lots of excitement and beautiful goals.

Don't underestimate France. They have a really strong team this year with Benzema, Nasri, Malouda, Abidal, Ribery etc and since the shame of the WC 2010 this is their first real chance to show their potential. They are a lot like Germany - they grow with the challenge.

Like I said earlier, if Spain plays even to 75% of their potential, they'll walk through this tournament.

 

It always amazes me how certain players play better with their club than their nation, and vice versa.

Argentina is a glowing example. They have some of the best individual players in the world who dominate for their clubs, but when they come together for country they've had a hard time pulling it together lately.

Spain/Italy should be a more interesting game than most people predict. Barcelona (90% of the National squad ) has had some difficulty lately with teams that can hold them, and Italy may be able to do that and counterattack. Italy always plays such an old team, though.

We'll see if Balotelli shows up to play or be a baby... that could be key. And Italy has a habit of standing up to big games. Spain is just so talented top to bottom, and they definitely have no problem playing together.

 

I watched portugal vs germany felt the game was lacking in excitement

Russia's match i did not see But a lot spoke highly of the russian team
