Call him what you want, but the man is a legend. As a Raider fan, it is sad to see him pass. However, I can't help but be excited for the future of the Raider organization without his archaic ideas being forced on the team.

It's sad when anyone dies, but the Raiders are better off without him.

Now maybe the Raiders will move back to LA, and the Chargers can stay in SD.

I agree. It is sad when anyone passes away and I feel for his family and friends.

But I don't have much love for Al Davis.

As a longtime raiders fan, when I heard this morning the first word out of my mouth was, "finally!"

Ok, sad that he died, but that was literally the only thing that would retire him and move the team forward.

Without Al Davis (a la him borrowing 800k from bills owner Ralph Wilson) the merger to create the NFL would have never happened.

Gotta tip your hat to any guy that could "stir the pot" like him haha

RIP

Your words sum up my exact thoughts. Very sad day, can't wait to see what the future brings....and it will all be in his good memory!

BTW, good to see some other raider fans on the site.....I thought it was just me and Sharky!
