If by Spanish football you mean Barca and Real, both having foreign superstars in their teams, then I agree. I also agree that Premier League is worse today than a few years back. However I don't think it's overrated.

Athletic players are all from Basque Country or near, except for Amorebieta (raised here). Try to choose players in a population of merely more than 2 million people total....
