the one thing i liked about Arsenal this year was that they seemed to be able to grind out results and protect 1-0 leads as opposed to their form last year when they got a point off of Newcastle after leading 4-0. Arsenal need to buy this month and if it were up to me they'd get a left back who can also play center back, a creative midfielder and a good winger or else they'll be in trouble. for the past 4 or 5 seasons Arsenal's season has collapsed due to injuries and lack of depth in the squad if they don't reinforce in the window then i predict the Gunner's fans will have to endure more of the same only this time CL qualification may hang in the balance and if Arsenal dont make fourth their team will be gutted by the powerhouses of Europe .

just caught the highlights of yesterday's wolves vs chelsea
after the 2nd goal went in, you could REALLY see what avb is building over there. it meant SOOOO MUCH and the celebration was very personal for all the players i thought
good to see, and it's great to be able to score under pressure again
after reviewing wolves' goal, i think it's safe to estimate that more than 80% of all goals conceded by chelsea were due to defensive errors, and not great threat from the opposing team's attack. totally unacceptable

There's been quite a bit of news around that celebration. if you watch the whole thing you clearly dont see Terry or Lampard going over and celbrating with the coaches and other players. The rumour mill has it that relations between those two and Villas Boas is not so great and to be honest I kind of believe it.
I couldnt care less about Terry, he can go for all I care and I wouldnt be bothered one bit. Lamps on the other hand has been one of my favorite players for ages and I think it's a bit of a shame that things are going this way for him. I'd love for AVB to stick with him for another season or two, but I dont think that is going to happen. I think AVB has an idea of what he wants to do with the team, and long term, I dont think Lampard fits into his plans.
At the moment though it makes no sense to bench him, all he does is score when he's out there.
If we can pick up Cahill,a creative midfielder and another attacking option in January I'll be happy. I think that will be enough to see us into the top 4 for the season and then next summer we restructure even more.
