Torres' goal was superb... Let's just hope we keep our foot on their throats.

Looks like we got a couple of guys training for Arsenal. After our loss yesterday on 2 own goals (and an offside goal!), these guys will fit right in!!!

i seriously believe we played better, but did not deserve to win. united were clinical and therefore it was a deserved result, but phil jones was on a different level than the whole team and that made the difference imo.

i can take a lot of positives from this fixture so early in the league, and i am still advocating for a torres comeback. two assists last time, a goal today, could have been a hatrick, and his passion showing again are all great indicators.
ivanovic and terry are slacking, i stated earlier in the thread that chelsea's weakness lies in defense, there is a lot to be done but it can be fixed.
chelsea in the 2nd half created chances in ways that normally i would dream of them realizing

today was sufficient proof that the epl is the greatest league in the world

Torres actually played pretty well - and his goal definitely fired him up. The lead ups to his misses were incredible. He had a series around 83 or 85 minutes where he carved through the defense, and except for an incredible save by De Gea would have had one of the goals of the early season.

I've decided this year I'm going to cheer for and be happy about amazing, exciting plays no matter who they come from. Arsenal will score goals this season and generally be a pleasure to watch, but the defense will allow or cause twice as many goals, and it's killing my joy - I just can't stand the incompetence. Koscielny's "accidents" have been officially responsible for at least 4 major losses I can think of since he's been here. It's looking like a relegation fight rather than a championship fight.

I'll never not be a Gooner, and pray that we get back on track. But this year I'm resigned that we suck, and I'm going to enjoy the EPL as a whole.

I hate games like this, they just end up ruining my day. All morning I was excited to work on my bike, then start brewing a batch of home made beer. I ended up doing neither, and now I'm in bad mood cause it's the end of weekend and I got nothing done.

I thought Chelsea played well enough to win, they just didnt take their chances well. Man U did the complete opposite (except on one or two occasions), they played well and made their chances count.

I think our defense needs an overhaul, we look old and tired.

I dont get starting Sturridge over Anelka, that was just a dumb idea. Anelka is very creative and has a lot of skill on the ball, we saw that as soon as he came on in the second half. Torres looked lively, but for all the confidence that his goal meant, the miss probably took it away.

United could have put 6 or 7 past Chelsea today. Chelsea could have put 3 or 4 in... So figure we made half our chances and there you have it. Rooney should have had a third consecutive hat trick today...

I don't think there's any question United is for real. I'll be curious to see how they do in the Manchester derby. Chelsea is still a force, but in 10 matches, United will take 8.
