I thought Chelsea looked flat until Mata came on, almost like they were just stuck in 4th gear the whole time. Bosingwa's goal was nice, but it wasnt a product of any kind of build up, just individual skill. After that goal though, they just looked uninterested, and uncreative until Mata came on.

I hate to say it too, but I'm not sure Torres fits this attack at the moment. The only thing I can hope for is that Mata, and potentially another play maker can start to unlock defenses, and get Torres scoring again. At the moment he looks lost. Lakuka looked pretty sharp in the 15 minutes that he got, and he may get some more action if Drogba is out for any length of time. Speaking of Drogba, that collision looked pretty brutal, you could tell he was out cold before he even hit the ground.

Bottom line: Don't **** w/Norwich's keeper or you'll get knocked the **** out!

 

1. definitely, mata had an instant impact on midfield and we were R U B B I S H before he came on.
2. lukako was brilliant indeed, more so in positioning and movement than in execution - it would've been sweet had he controlled that left leg when he passed two defenders and hit it right
3. huge torres fan here, but yes i think he needs to be fed. unlike drogs or anelka, he needs the ball to arrive to be finished. i think lukako in 15mins proved that he is NOT a torres type

am i giving up on torres yet? no
but i am getting fed up VERY, VERY quickly

 

^ Agreed, I am willing to give Torres this entire season to prove himself, but I thought he would have been scoring goals already at this point.
