Golf Shoes

Talk to me about Golf Shoes... Thinking of getting some footjoy Icon's... Want something that I can wear with shorts and pants... So far these seem to be best all around... Anyone familiar with them?

I had Footjoys and I loved them. Lost them at a bachelor party golf outing. I now have Adidas and I think they are better. Either way you can't go wrong.

I need to get a good pair as well. I figure with the season coming up some good deals could be had.

Footjoy has long been the head honcho of golf shoes, but after they discontinued the classics line, their high end shoe product has been lacking. When you bought a pair of classics in the past, they were warranted for life. They would resole both shoes for free years after you bought them. The replacement, Icon has a standard black rubber sole, which is slightly offputting when wearing shorts.

I highly recommend the adidas adipure z, or the latest 360tour. They are lighter than the footjoys, much more comfortable, and look better as well.

Eccos are comfortable shoes, but not as stylish.

I found a lot of shoes were not very comfortable, I was justifying the feel for looks, but the Puma'a are amazing!

Those Puma's are something I might look into. Currently I have 2 pairs of Nike Tiger Woods golf shoes. They're alright, but I walked a course toting my own bag last summer and I was ready to kill myself by the 18th hole. I would've been better off just wearing my running shoes. I heard good things about the Eccos.
