Lots of Trading Today at the Deadline

I don't get the Perkins trade either. If anything its maybe because he is injury prone.
The Celtics are like a well oiled machine and any slight changes will have unintended consequences. I actually think if he was fine for game 7 the would be champs right now.

OKC got much better. They filled a huge, gaping hole which will definitely round out there starting 5. Celtics... not sure why they make this deal, unless they knew something about Perkins and wanted him gone asap.
Either way, look out for OKC in the playoffs... they just got much better. The celtics are who they are because of defense and Perkins was a huge part of that. I'm guessing the C's have a plan to pick up a center of the waiver wire to fill that hole. If I was them I wouldn't be betting on the dual O'neals to fill the whole Perkins leaves.

Lots of crazy trades that shake up both conferences. The Thunder could be scary with Perkins in the middle to beat up on Gasol and Bynum.
Dwight Howard to the Lakers in the offseason rumors are starting heat up again.....

there's no way DH is going to the Lakers in the offseason - especially if there's any possibility of a franchise tag in the new CBA. if not, he won't get traded unless it was for Bynum, Gasol, & a shitload of picks - the GM knows his job is tied to Howard staying and i'd bet he'd just go down w/ the ship - i certainly would in his position - there's nothing the Lakers have that worth 3/4 of what DH is, including Kobe right now.
C's move is perplexing - they are now vulnerable to Heat, Bulls, & Magic. there's nothing they 'knew' b/c that would have to be disclosed in any trade. i hate the C's but they had my vote for going to the Finals this year, though the Magic seem to play them hard (the *only* team they play hard it seems)
OKC trying to take it to the next level - nice. i like Wallace to the Blazers - that team could be good for an upset come playoff time.

^ I hear what you are saying Chuck, but crazier things have happened. I'm shocked that a player under contract can bitch, moan and whine their way to getting traded for less than fair value.
The Celt's move is interesting, but it does pin their title hopes squarely on the fragile shoulders of the O'Neals (Shaq and Jermaine) Jeff Green has his shortcomings, but he is extremely agile and athletic. I do not like seeing Perkins with the Thunder.
