TCU has a less than 0% chance of making the big game... a 1 or possibly even 2 loss SEC team will make it in over TCU.
Ohio State should run the table, and as for the Ducks, still not 100% sold on them, but they have a pretty "simple" path to BCS title game
ps- my issues with the ducks, is how they got man handled last year by OSU who we all know has some BIG TIME issues when it comes to bowl games.

Spent four years down there doing my undergraduate.
What's your connection?
Right, it might pose a huge obstacle, just like you prediceted Neyland Stadium would . . .

I will say this, I believe the Pac-10 is seriously over rated and lacks any depth outside of Oregon (since USC doesn't really care it seems). I liked Stanford a lot, but they too don't have the depth to compete for 4 quarters against any of the major power houses.
I think Oregon would be a fun team to see in the BCS-NC game, but I just get the feeling they are the OSU of the past 4 or 5 years, amazing in regular season, but can't compete against the big boy's when someone has 4-5 weeks to game plan.

Lucky Les will ruin a 1-2 loss SEC team from making the NC game. Somehow, some way he will do it. OSU will likely falter against either Wisconsin or Iowa and Boise State doesn't have the strength of schedule to crack the top 5 BCS standings. If everything falls into place and TCU wins out, including a W against #11 Utah, it's possible. I'm a Tennessee grad/fan so I'm just speculating. No bias towards any team at this point.

Thought this was a great article, and very spot on....

I'm resting it on one of the most complete, explosive and deep offenses in the league. A dangerous special teams. And a defense that has given up 13 points in the second half all season.

You are spot on sir. But this is what we have to deal with today...Oregon wins out and if the Beavers win everything but the civil war, we will be in the big game!
The last time I was this excited we were 6-0 and ranked #2 in the country we then lost 4 out of the last 5 games...
You can say what you want about our defense, but the numbers speak for themselves. 13 points have been scored against us in 6 second half's of football this year. No other real team in the nation can say that.
M5Kid, I grew up in Eugene and Portland. Dad had season tickets from when I was in the first grade to both football and bb. I am as much a duck as can be for not attending school there.

We'll have to get together for a game. I always enjoy meeting fellow Ducks supporters. Even better when they have good taste in cars. ;-)

This man speaks the truth! UT has probably the best 1st half D in college(lol)! Go ahead and give OSU or Bama 24+ in the first half and hold them to 3-6 in second, Ducks will not put up more than 21 on a SEC D or Nebraska and Ohio State.... Pac-10 is not what I would call a solid "benchmark" when it comes to gaging a defense.
ps- History is usually a great way of figuring out how a team will do in December and January, and we all know the Ducks have not fared well, so before anyone get's too upset, all we have to go by is the past, it's nothing personal.
