John Wooden "The Wizard of Westwood" Passes Away
I cannot believe no one has started a thread about this. I did a search to find one, but could not, so please forgive me if one has already been started.
With the passing of John Wooden, the world lost one of the great human beings who has ever walked the face of the earth. He may be gone, but his legend and teachings will live for generations.
Some of my favorite Wooden quotes;
"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."
"Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do."
"It isn't what you do, but how you do it."
"Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful."
"Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out."
"You can't live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you."
