Champions League - Arsenal v Barcelona

Puyol red card was a joke. Not nearly enough contact to warrant a red.
Now I wont have to look at that damn curly mop again in the second leg...Thank God.
Puyol go get a haircut and stop pretending your the lead singer of Whitesnake.

Haha love the Whitesnake reference. I hate that crazy hair too.
I only got a chance to watch last 30 minutes but from I saw it was a very physical game and the referee was letting them play. He's a defender, he's supposed to deny Fabs a goal scoring opportunity. But there was no reason a red should've been given in that situation, no way.
Now he has to sit the final
leg of a Champions League quarterfinal because the ref decided to not stay consistent with his whistle....

He definately needs a new look.
Here are the sending off offences directly from the FIFA rule book:
Sending-off Offences
A player, substitute or substituted player is sent off if he commits any of the
following seven offences:
• serious foul play
• violent conduct
• spitting at an opponent or any other person
• denying the opposing team a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity
by deliberately handling the ball (this does not apply to a goalkeeper within
his own penalty area)
• denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity to an opponent moving
towards the player’s goal by an offence punishable by a free kick or a
penalty kick
• using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures
• receiving a second caution in the same match

By giving the penalty kick, the ref according to the rules of the game also has to send off Puyol. He couldnt have given one without other

I don't know... I mean I k pw the rules, but it didn't seem like there was enough contact, even if it was in the box, to card him.
It's like the NBA Playoffs, you let the guys play a little...
Bottom line is, Barca is without two starters for an away game. Yikes!

Point number 5??? Really?

To avoid the foul he should have whipped his head to the side, causing a huge amount of curls to go in Fabregas's eyes, thus causing him to miss.
i love puyol hair..... i had my hair colored like him....haters
