Yea, it was a stupid thing to say (for the reputation of Dana) ... I think Mir's just trying to stir the pot; he's not that kinda guy. He said it, yes; but I think we've all heard a lot of the fighters say things like, "body bag", etc...
I really think Dana is just so pissed off about ESPN covering the recent "Elite XC" fight. He's just the puppet master here to make some news... I do like his business savvy. just me

It's true that we've all probably heard references to a "body bag" or fighters being "ready to die" in the octagon, but I've never heard anyone outright say they want to kill their opponent.

Mir is a different bird. He's better educated and more intelligent than most guys who do MMA or a living. A consequence of that is that he can really rub people the wrong way and step outside the box. And boy did he do it this time.
But in saying that, he should also have known better than to say what he did. He probably thought that it was a way to get some press. I think the scolding that he got from White was a bit surprising. He also probably figured that the disdain that Lesnar carries with him would get him some positive press in saying such a thing, combined with the lack of respect that Lesnar displays towards MMA crowds.
None the less, bad choice of words.
I will say this though. When you're training for a fight, you feel like you really want to do that damage to that guy.
