Looks like Floyd is starting to talk up the fight...it makes financial sense...this will probably top the De La Hoya/Mayweather fight...probably exceed $80 million just for the pay per view, etc...not bad for one night's work...

^^^The haul from this fight would be astronomical. The question is how Mayweather is going to negotiate with Arum. I wonder if Mayweather would agree to a 50/50 split?

^^They need to decide quickly to capitalize on the hype...50/50 should be the split, IMO because they are both intensely popular...

I totally agree about the time sensitive nature of maximizing the payout. I still think the question is whether Mayweather agrees to play ball with Arum...then again, Mayweather isn't stupid about the business of boxing.

Although, I heard a rumor that Arum is going to ask for >50% for Pacquiao. That should stick in Mayweather's craw.

There's no way Mayweather will do 50/50, his EGO is way to big for that, 50/50 will not happen nor should it. Mayweather is still undefeated and is the bigger draw whether you like it or not

Christian is right. Considering at the seemingly humble person Manny is, I don't see him putting up too much of a fight at the contract table over a -10% difference in payout, which should make it easier for this fight to happen.
