Perhaps, but I wouldn't dismiss the idea so quick. If you look at SC's performance since 2006, you'll see they have blown some games, yet still held on and garnered respect as one of the nations biggest threats. It's still early . . .

I only have 185 post Cali, try again. Doesnt matter, USC is over rated and they proved it once again this year

Like LSU a few years ago; yeah, it is possible. Who knows, Florida could drop one and Alabama or Texas could be the team this year. It would blow royally for the jorts nation if they lost the SEC championship to Alabama in December (as those two are the likely representatives of the SEC East and West, respectively), certainly quashing their chances.
