Last nights mound charge was the weakest mound charge I have ever seen. He threw his helmet at Porcello like a big Puss and didnt even throw a swing. I would be embarressed if I were him today.

 

Youk's debacle is second worst all-time. Robin Ventura getting his ass handed to him by Nolan Ryan still is tops.

But yeah, Youk's rep took a serious beating, and rightfully so. Throwing the helmet from close range (and missing), then getting the worst of the tumble to the ground with a 20 year old kid who was off-balance from dodging the helmet (and who Youk outweighs by probably 30 pounds at least) didn't make the Red Sox Nation too happy.

 

I love Youk, but I have to agree with you. That was pretty weak.

The Ventura - Nolan Ryan beating will go down as the worst in history. Although Youk's could be argued as worse.....Robin Ventura was pissed when he started his charge at Ryan but he got about half way to the mound and had an "oh sh%t!" moment and realized he got himself into something he was not ready to finish but had to try and finish anyway.

Youkilis charged the mound the full distance in anger, and when he got there he showed himself to be an incapable pansy, and made it worse by throwing his helmet at the pitcher.

He will get razzed about this for years to come....

I hate youkilis with a passion. Everything about the guy bugs me, I loved seeing him get tossed to the ground.
