Beckham hits back at Donovan slur

David Beckham has hit back at LA Galaxy team-mate Landon Donovan for suggesting he has shown a lack of commitment.
Beckham has returned to the Galaxy after a five-month loan at AC Milan with Donovan's comments on his mind.
"It is unprofessional in my eyes," said Beckham, who plans to speak Donovan about the matter.
"In 17 years, I have played with the biggest teams in the world and the biggest players and not once been criticised for my professionalism."
United States captain Donovan made his comments in a book called 'The Beckham Experiment'.
He said Beckham's level of dedication to the Major League Soccer club had waned since his arrival in July 2007, despite the 34-year-old former England skipper being paid "more than double anybody in the league".
But Beckham said: "In every football player's eyes throughout the world it would be unprofessional to speak out about a team-mate, especially in the press and not to your face.
"But I'm going to turn it on a positive spin because that's what this needs."

Landy-cakes is a little bitch who couldn't hack it in the Bundesliga so he had to come crying home to play where he is _slightly_ better than the rest of the guys. F#$k him and his bitchy comments. Becks always puts his money where his mouth is when it comes to football - ask Capello at Real after he let Becks get away. Of course, watching Becks and Landy-cakes duke it out with handbags at 10 paces would be entertaining. Bruno would approve...

But the problem is Beckham stopped putting his money where his mouth is when he came to LA. Beckham never showed up to practice and didn't give the effort that he used to. I believe Donavon does have a right to call out beckham after he took the role of being team captain away from donovan.

Donovan is not the type of person to be outspoken......he is not trying to hit back at beckham. He simply showed how he felt about beckham. Your right beckham doesn't have anything to prove, but if he wants to keep his reputation he should have showed the same effort that he was known for MLS ors not...
