Arturo Gatti - RIP true warrior..... =-(

Dang, former star pro athletes have been getting killed a lot recently. Alexis Arguello, Steve McNair and now Arturo Gatti.

I figured Gatti would die short of the typical male life expectancy b/c of the incredible heaps of punishment he absorbed in the ring, but 37 is way too short of a life.

RIP.........

Just got home and read this on fightnews and damn near cried. Gatti was truely a good guy and great fighter. Boxing fans will miss him dearly.

Damn, if that's true than that's one crazy bitch. They had a 1 year old kid with them

It's a shame about Arguello, he was my favorite back in the day, a brilliant fighter, his matches with Aaron Pryor are legend

Folks who'd been around the couple earlier in the evening were saying that they were seen arguing/fighting, and Gatti was pretty drunk. He probably passed out, or was too loaded to adequately defend himself. I think he was found with a head injury as well, so she probably whacked him over the head to incapacitate him before strangling him.......
