I saw parts of the game and without the benefit of a video review I think it would be hard for the ref to not show red…
But from the view points I have seen yes red is harsh

 

3 Times? Did you see the first against Italy? Crazy. The last one against Spain, the commentator went something like "Oh, the ref is going to show yellow needlessly, ITS RED!"

Yellow was harsh, straight Red is something you see 63 times per Premier League season in 760 matches, that means you see 1 every 12 matches. In this case, it's 1 ever 1.3 matches. It's just so rare to see straight red unless someone loses his head.
After the Serie A scandal anything is possible. Sepp Blatter always blasted Chelsea and Man City for reckless spending but now that Real Madrid are doing it he is saying it's good for the sport and shows that the recession is not affecting football.

Anyways, lets see the last match and hope for the best.

Is this going to be the USA vs. Brazil thread? or is someone starting a new one. The game is being televised on ESPN here in the US at 11:00 am PST which is a little over 2 hours from now. I'm not sure if that is live or not.
