Fabregas Mooting Arsenal Exit - Report

The spit spat saga in midweek has left Cesc Fabregas disillusioned with the English media and thinking about leaving Arsenal, according to a report...

Cesc Fabregas is considering leaving Arsenal in the summer, after a week of criticism by the English media caused him to reconsider his position.

The Catalan midfielder was upset by the treatment from the written press, after he was accused of spitting at Hull City's assistant manager, Brian Horton, on Tuesday evening after an FA Cup tie.

Having been reported as saying that if Arsene Wenger left, then so would he, a decision may now be made regardless of the plans of the French coach.

Barcelona have made it clear that they would take the player back, if he made the first move, while Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the Spain international.

While the accusations of spitting cannot be substantiated, many believed the story because of the ferocity with which Tigers' boss Phil Brown expressed his digust.

Now, Fabregas has endured a days of inquisition into whether he did spit, with some players saying he has done it before and other's questioning why he was involved at all.

Having watched the entire game from the seats behind the technical area at the Emirates, the Gunners' captain walked onto the pitch and made his way down the tunnel. That was when these rumours began.

That's just media bullshit. On the other hand, this the most dysfunctional Arsenal "team" I've ever seen. Unlike the team who had well respected characters in the likes of Henry, Bergkamp and Vieira.

I absolutely agree with you there! Arsenal have lost the maturity it once had, and that is the price you pay for "preparing a team for the future" !!
