Eto'o Eager To Extend Barcelona Deal - Report
Despite rumours linking Barca with a wide array of forwards, the Cameroonian still intends to be the main man at the Camp Nou for years to come...
Samuel Eto'o is keen to renew his contract at Barcelona, amid rumours of a possible replacement signing.
Barcelona have been linked with a host of forwards in recent weeks, but, according to Sport, Eto'o is unconcerned and still expects to be at the Camp Nou until 2014. The Cameroon star is believed to be content with life in Catalunya, and does not believe he can further his career at any other club.
Barca, however, may have other ideas. In recent weeks, talk of a potential 'Ribery - Messi - Villa' trident has done the rounds, and the Valencia striker in particular is a firm favourite of Txiki Begiristain, Barcelona's sporting director. He believes that the Asturian is an ideal fit for the club's system, and Los Che's current financial troubles mean that there will never be a better time to secure his services.
Ultimately, much will depend on how Barcelona finish the season. Should they end up with some silverware, it is believed that they will keep faith in Thierry Henry and Eto'o, unless either of them seeks a move.

^^^ I agree. He's at the top of his game right now. Plus I don't think he'll find another team in the level of Barca who lack a player in his position.
P.S. For those of you who think Benzema is the perfect replacement. I don't think so, Eto'o is in a different league.
