Blew my bankroll at SEMA last year and after a few things happened (office moved, so the casino was no longer on my drive home, and my motorcycle had taken most of my free time as I was out riding)

Being broken from my accident I decided to start the year over with $500 and head out to the casino to play some cards for the first time in 5 months. Man I missed this game, only played for about 5 hours and left with $1300

I start off each year with $500....last year I made it till Nov...year before I made it through, put about $8K in savings and lived off of my earnings for 6 months while I was out of work....I'll be fine

Yea, and all my poker money stays in it's own account. If I do blow through the $500 I'll most likely put another $500 in. But I start off at small tables, work my bank roll up to the bigger ones.

 

Dude, be careful didn't you develop issues with it for a while?

 

Not me. I use to play 30 hours a week but have had the selfcontrol to play within this $500 guideline for a few years now. Never dip into pay check money or savings etc in years

yeap.....keep in mind...i was playing for a living.....but even while working, up until our office moved, I played about 15-20 (usually 2.5 hours a day min).


I worked early...wife worked late.......gave me something to keep myself busy and earn some extra $$
