Roberto Mancini’s Agent Denies Chelsea Link
Despite his team being just one point adrift of leaders Liverpool, it seems that Chelsea patron Roman Abramovich is not really seeing eye-to-eye with Brazilian boss Luiz Felipe Scolari.
Moreover, La Gazzetta dello Sport reports this morning that the 60-year-old tactician might soon opt to return to the Brazilian national side to take over from embattled coach Carlos Dunga.
Roberto Mancini is currently in London and the Italian media have suggested that he flew out in order to start negotiations with the Blues.
However, “This story about Roberto taking charge at Stamford Bridge is absolutely untrue,” his agent Giorgio De Giorgis told Calciomercato.com.
“He did fly out to the English capital, but for completely different matters, and what you are reading is just press speculation.”
The former Lazio coach is still under contract with Inter, as he was sacked by president Massimo Moratti last summer, despite leading the Beneamata to their third Scudetto on the bounce.
Other whispers in the peninsula allege that Mancio could return to the Stadio Olimpico to replace under-fire Biancocelesti trainer Delio Rossi.
