This isn't a suprise either. C.C. is a So Cal native and had expressed some interest in returning to the area. But, in the end, money talks. Isn't it funny how the Yankees hardly ever lead though? They wait until the Mets make the big move to land K-Rod and then they seal the deal with Sabathia. You must hand it to Cashman though - he gets the job done in a very difficult environment.

So the Yankees and the Mets have both addressed their biggest needs before the winter meetings are complete. Now the Angels and Dodgers really must step up their game in the free agent market. The Angels better bag Tex and the Dodgers really need to resign Manny.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Jayson Stark is reporting that he will be a Yankee. Stark is a total insider and wouldn't report it like that unless it was a done-deal.

Start celebrating. But it won't help you against the Angels! We own you guys.

 

After your post I got interested and started reading more and it does seem to be a done deal. SO pumped, although I just can't wait to hear about the yankee checkbook and buying championships and all that bs again...

Angels will be tough should make for a good season for us man...can't wait
