That's just dumb. I wonder, though if FIFA could be trying to stop players from engaging fans during matches?
One of my favorite moments from a couple years ago was when West Ham played Tottenham and Tevez curled in an awesome free kick to tie Tottenham 4-4. He raced off the field, took his shirt off, swung it around and jumped about 5 feet into the crowd.
I guess maybe its dangerous, but the atmosphere after that goal was electric.

In most league games if you go over the crowd for a high fives, hugs, or you jump into the crowd its an automatic yellow....which I think is a real shame.
