It doesn't sound like Marbury is the problem. And a player's punishment for not playing in a game is not playing in a game?

Please explain how the problem isn't Marbury?

His punishment was also losing $400K. But beyond that, for these pro athletes, putting them on the sideline while their teammates play is usually a pretty rough punishment. It should - and most often does - matter to them.
