Rodney Mullen
Not sure how much you guys are into skating, but Rodney Mullen is one of my all time favorites. He was an original member of the Bones Brigade in the 80's and over the years has invented a ton of tricks that are considered the building blocks of street skating.
Watch and be amazed.

I used to watch Rodney at the Desert Surf skate park in Vegas back in the early and mid-1980s. He was the best freestyle skater ever. I also used to see him skate vert at the Pipeline in Upland. He mastered that place - and it was a freaking death trap! I watched him win national and world competitions at Del Mar too. He was the very best.
Looks like he hasn't lost a step, despite the fact that he must be in his early 40s.

Wow, thats pretty cool you saw all that stuff.
Yeah, over the years he has adapted his style to still include a lot of those flick tricks where he is standing on one spot and incorporated them into a more street style where he's moving at speed.

I attended the Turkey Shoot in 1985 and saw Rod skating the combi pool at Upland. Then he went to the shallow bowls and tore it up. Then he got out one of those old skinny freestyle boards and did things we couldn't believe. I honestly believed that he was the best skater in the world at the time.
